ArmInfo. On April 8, members of the Armenia-Finland parliamentary friendship group met with Ambassador of Finland to Armenia Arya Makkonen .
According to the press service of the parliament, the head of the friendship group Gevorg Gorgisyan noted that it is very important to study the rich experience of Finland, democracy and parliamentary traditions of the country. Regarding the development and deepening of bilateral friendly relations, he found it necessary to hold the Days of Finland in our country and organize a business conference to create a platform for cooperation between the two countries. In turn, the Ambassador of Finland congratulated the Armenian people on holding fair and fair elections. She also noted the need for inter-parliamentary cooperation. The Ambassador said that parliamentary elections will be held in Finland on April 14, after which a Finland-Armenia friendship group will be formed. Touching on the ratification of the Comprehensive and Expanded Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the European Union, Makkonen assured that the document will be signed by the President in the near future, and will be ratified after the parliamentary elections. In terms of deepening the existing bilateral relations and creating new ways of cooperation, the parties also stressed the importance of reciprocal visits by parliamentarians. At the request of the Ambassador, Gorgisyan presented the main priorities of the Armenian agenda after the revolution, in particular, the fight against corruption and economic reforms.
