ArmInfo. During the rule of the former authorities, systemic corruption took place in Armenia, but now it is over. On March 22, head of the National Security Council of Armenia Artur Vanetsyan stated at the meeting of the standing parliamentary commission on defense and security.
According to Vanetsyan, the National Security Service continues to actively fight corruption and other vicious phenomena. As the head of the National Security Service assured, regardless of the position and social status, all the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
The head of the National Security Service reported that half of the line of corruption crimes in production is cases amounting to 234 million drams. Vanetsyan also noted that starting from 2018, 40 criminal cases were considered in the Investigation Department of the National Security Service, 26 of which were sent to the investigating authorities, and 13 are under investigation.
The head of the National Security Service noted that according to preliminary data, in cases under consideration, the state was damaged in the amount of 32 billion 100 million drams. "Of the total damage caused to the state, about 22 billion 100 million drams have already been restored," the head of the National Security Service said.
