ArmInfo.Deputy prime minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan received the delegation of Sweden led by Minister for International Development Cooperation Peter Eriksson.
Welcoming the guests, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that Sweden is a friendly country for Armenia, whose successes, in particular, are exemplary in terms of democracy, human rights and social protection. Grigoryan presented the four main priorities of the government of Armenia - the economy, infrastructure, human capital development, protection of human rights and justice. At the same time, he noted that there are obstacles to the implementation of reforms, but they can be countered by institutionalizing the supreme values put forward by the government.
Minister for International Development Cooperation Peter Eriksson, thanking for the reception, noted that Sweden is ready to open a window for bilateral cooperation for Armenia. The parties agreed that there is a great potential for the development of cooperation. And this potential needs to be realized. The meeting also discussed a number of issues relating to the agenda of economic reforms in Armenia, the logic of tax reforms, policies to combat corruption, as well as the involvement of women in the economic sector.
