ArmInfo. The position voiced by Yerevan on the Nagorno- Karabakh settlement is not new, it was constantly discussed during all meetings with the parties concerned. The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said this on March 19 at a press conference in Yerevan, referring to the upcoming meeting Aliyev-Pashinyan and the issue of the full inclusion of Artsakh in the negotiation process on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
According to the Prime Minister, today there is no need to wait. "In the diplomatic process, it is necessary to continue consistent work. What is being spoken publicly is not a news either for the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group or for our Azerbaijani colleagues. We talked about this at all our meetings. I mean the agenda, which was formed in May 2018, we are continuing to serve this agenda. I would also like to point out an important nuance I mentioned in Stepanakert. This is not a whim or precondition (the matter concerns returning Artsakh to the negotiating table - Ed. note), we will continue discussions with our partners on this, trying to achieve it, backing up with facts, since negotiations are intended to listen to each other, "said Pashinyan, adding that Armenia has already demonstrated its ability to listen to the interlocutor, try to understand and expects the same from the opponent.
According to him, if the partners believe that the position of the Armenian side is too tough, the Armenian side can soften it a little, but similar behavior should be demonstrated by the opponent also, otherwise the conversation simply will not work. "Of course, the approach we started in May 2018 is not a challenge, it is an invitation to dialogue, which, in fact, started in Dushanbe and continued in St. Petersburg and Davos, and will continue. I don't know yet where our next meeting will take place. No one should say that he refuses dialogue - this will be a non-logical approach. We will continue the dialogue, present our arguments and carefully listen to their arguments. An effective solution must be found within the framework of this logic, "Pashinyan said.
