ArmInfo. Newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Republic of Armenia, Muhammad al Zaabi, handed over copies of his credentials to the head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.
The press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo that at the meeting Mnatsakanyan expressed his conviction that the new Ambassador would, by his active work, give a new impetus to the multifaceted relations established between the two friendly countries. The parties outlined new areas for cooperation, in this context emphasizing the importance of mutual high- level visits, intensifying political dialogue, the activities of the intergovernmental commission, and expanding the regulatory framework.
The sides highlighted such areas as high technologies, innovative education and alternative energy as priority areas for cooperation.
The interlocutors discussed topical issues of the regional and international agenda. In this regard, Mnatsakanyan spoke about the approaches and principled position of the Republic of Armenia on an exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
