ArmInfo.On 20 February Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan sent a condolence letter to the family of Louise Manoogian Simone, the NKR President presss service reports.
The letter runs as follows: "We have learnt with deep sorrow in Artsakh about the death of Armenian national philanthropist, public figure Louise Manoogian Simone. All her life she stood by the native people, outlived their concerns, supported the Motherland, actively participated in the process of establishing and strengthening Armenian national structures in the Diaspora, continuing with dignity the patriotic mission of her family.
With the immediate contribution of Lousie Manoogian Simone multiple projects of strategic importance have been implemented in Artsakh in different spheres. The great philanthropist enjoyed infinite and genuine respect in Artsakh. On behalf of the Artsakh people, authorities and myself personally I express my deepest condolences and support to the relatives and friends of the deceased wishing them endurance and strength of spirit.
The name of Louise Manoogian Simone will always remain bright in the hearts of those who knew her and in the memory of our people". Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan also expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased. The statement of the Minister posted on the official page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Twitter, states: "Just heard about the passing away of Louis Simon Manoukian, a legend and a hero for the #Armenian people. Very sad, deeply sorry and my most heartfelt condolences to her family, to the #AGBU big family. Big loss for all of us all in #Armenia and elsewhere", the statement reads.
According to the report of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), "One of the most consequential figures in modern Armenian life and most collectively admired and respected leaders in AGBU's century-old history, Louise Manoogian Simone will leave an indelible mark of hope and inspiration through her dedicated service to the Armenian people, the Armenian homeland and the Armenian Church.Her recent passing has brought deep sorrow to the worldwide AGBU family, which she served with tireless devotion and singular distinction, as the first and only female leader of the organization, first as a Central Board member and as international President for 12 years", the statement noted.
