ArmInfo. The prosecutor's office filed 2 criminal cases in connection with corruption abuses in sports schools on boxing and chess in the city of Gyumri, the press service of Prosecutor Office reports.
According to the source, the directors of these sports schools, abusing their official powers, arranged for their relatives to work in schools, who did not go to work but were paid. According to the data obtained, the director of the children's boxing sports school from 2013 to 2018 recruited 7 citizens, who were hired as deputy directors, 2 as trainers, janitor, 2 citizens as a loader and watchman. The last ones from 2013 to 2018 were paid salaries in the amount, which in the end were 23.080.700 drams. In the "Chess Children's Sports School" director from 2010 to 2018 hired 5 people, 4 for the position of coach, and one for the position of loader. Despite the fact that from 2013 the latter did not regularly attend their workplaces, they were paid a salary amount of 9,305,696 drams. Since in both cases there is a fact of abuse of official position, and as a result of the appropriation of a large amount of money by the decision of the deputy prosecutors of Shirak 2 criminal cases were initiated under article 179 (Assignment or embezzlement) of the RA.
