ArmInfo.On February 8 Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan who is on a working visit to Estonia met with the Estonian Prime Minister Juri Ratas.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues relating to the Armenian-Estonian cooperation, stressing that the centuries-old friendly relations existing between the two nations create a solid platform for creating a richer bilateral agenda and bringing its trade and economic component to a new one level.
The Prime Minister of Estonia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia exchanged thoughts on cooperation between Armenia and the European Union. The Minister noted that the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the European Union is also an important tool for advancing the government's agenda.
Zohrabyan presented to the interlocutor the latest domestic political events in Armenia, stressing the government's commitment to implementing a broad reform program, the core of which is the development of the economy on the basis of innovative technologies. Touching on the achievements of Armenia in the field of high technologies and creative education and drawing parallels with the Estonian experience in this field, Mnatsakanyan expressed conviction that through joint work and initiatives it will be possible to implement many mutually beneficial projects.
The Armenian Foreign Minister presented the interlocutor with the preparatory work for the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) 2019, and expressed the hope that the leading Estonian companies will take an active part in this event.
