ArmInfo. The Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ara Babloyan, voted in the elections to the Council of Elders of Yerevan at polling station No. 4/53.
Speaking to reporters, the speaker noted that the Republican Party does not have a single decision on elections to the Council of Elders. Answering the question about the surrender of political power in Yerevan, he recalled that the RPA does not participate in these elections. Babloyan himself voted "for the development of Yerevan," but did not specify which candidate he voted for, noting that he did not vote against everyone. Speaking about the quality of the pre-election campaign, Babloyan noted that all candidates try to achieve a good result, but they do not have to go over to individuals and insult each other. Unfortunately, such cases have taken place. I hope that every new election in Armenia will be better, "the speaker said.
As for holding early elections to the National Assembly, the speaker noted that it is too early to talk about this. "I want to note that it is also too early to talk about the self-dissolution of the National Assembly, and now the process of work on legislative changes is underway, after the work is completed, the political forces will take this issue and make a final decision," Babloyan stressed.
