ArmInfo.Armenia, in view of the absence of common borders with a single customs territory, it is necessary to create separate control mechanisms to facilitate the administrative burden associated with customs control. This opinion was expressed by the member (Minister) for Economic and Financial Policy of the EEC, Timur Zhaksylykov, who arrived in Yerevan to hold a meeting with the Armenian business community.
"Armenia is separated and forced to contact through transit countries, so the goods that are sent from / to Armenia fall under the procedure of customs control, like Argentinean or French goods, and this is taking into account the membership in the EEC," he stressed.
According to him, today this issue is regulated within the framework of the Customs Codec, ie. the goods are under the procedure of customs transit, "undergoing" all operations on themselves. Noting that this is a complex bloc of issues, Zhaksylykov said that efforts in this direction are being made. Answering the question of ArmInfo, the Minister of the EEC noted that the digital process of tracking goods can solve this problem to some extent: "When the product is" tagged ", its life cycle, the history of transit through transit, the history of receipt under customs control procedures will be understandable solving the problem ". He noted that now such pilot projects have already been launched: "For example, the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan are implementing a pilot project on the railroad, connected with the procedure for tracking the goods in mutual trade, and subsequently, other countries will join them." Recall that the Georgian-Russian border checkpoint "Upper Lars" is the only land route for Armenia in the implementation of export supplies to the markets of the EAEC countries.
