ArmInfo. The lawmaker of the Turkish Parliament from Kurdish Democratic Party of Nations Garo Paylan submitted draft on recognizing the Genocide of Armenians in Ottoman Turkey.
He urged the Turkish authorities, first, to recognize the Armenian Genocide, then to grant citizenship to the descendants of the victims of this crime against humanity. This is reported by the Armenian edition in Turkey "Akos".
In the submitted bill several times the concept "genocide" is mentioned. In addition to calling for recognition of the Genocide, the MP demands to stop the practice of calling public places the names of the organizers of the Armenian Genocide. Further, he cites the example of those countries that committed such terrible crimes, but subsequently recognized and asked for forgiveness for it.
Referring to the authorities he noted: "It's been 103 years since Armenian Genocide and the survivors all this time struggled to restore justice. Millions of Armenians, as a result of the Genocide, died without feeling this justice. The issue of the Armenian Genocide should be discussed in the Majlis of Turkey. And when this happens, the topic of the Genocide will no longer be discussed in other parliaments, "the Armenian MP said in his speech.
