ArmInfo. The first meeting of the Armenian government, to be held under the chairmanship of newly elected Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan on April 19, in defiance of established practice, will be held in the afternoon. This was  reported in the press service of the government.

Traditionally, the meeting of the Armenian government begins at 11  o'clock. That is, it was like this before the previous meeting, more  precisely, after the new Constitution came into full force, when  Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan became acting, and the government's  meetings, by force of law, were held behind closed doors "in order to  ensure the ease of work of Cabinet members and enable a healthy  debate, which previously interfered with the media. "

So, on April 9, the inauguration of the new Armenian President Armen  Sargsyan took place, on the same day the government resigned, on  April 17 the parliament approved the candidacy of Serzh Sargsyan and  at the moment Armenia has not only the new prime minister but also  the first vice-premier, two vice-premiers , as well as two reassigned  ministers. However, this did not diminish the uncertainty in the  political life of the country and the work of the media.  The press  service of the executive body is not ready to announce at what time  the meeting will be held.  Official information is limited only by  announcing the time for briefings for journalists - at 18.15, which,  as a rule, take place immediately after the meeting itself. Thus, it  can be concluded that the meeting under the leadership of Prime  Minister Serzh Sargsyan will be held in the afternoon - around 17.00.

Earlier, this morning, participants in the protest action "Take a  step, refuse Serzhu" surrounded the government building number 3,  near the Republic Square. On the eve of the rally, MP Nikol Pashinyan  stated that on April 19 the first meeting of the government will be  held under the chairmanship of the new Prime Minister, former  President Serzh Sargsyan, therefore the oppositionist called at 8:00  to gather outside the government building and block the work of the  government, in the building. The next statement of the RA Police did  not take long. In the warning, in particular, there was a reminder  that law enforcement forces in places of assembly are carrying out  activities aimed at stopping violations of public order. In this  regard, the police urged media representatives to stay away from  meeting places at a "reasonable distance" in order not to obstruct  the performance of official duties by police officers. The police  recalled that the government is a specially protected facility, and  the duty of policemen to protect these objects, and in the presence  of threat of attack to use special means, up to the use of weapons.
