ArmInfo.Leader of the "Make a step" movement, oppositionist MP Nikol Pashinyan reacted to the appeal of the already elected Prime Minister of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan - to return from the street to workplace.
So, reacting to this statement, Pashinyan, in particular, said: "Sure!"
Reacting to Sargsyan's statement that the seizure of state buildings cannot be considered a peaceful protest, the oppositionist stressed that all actions of protesters fit into the process of peaceful actions of disobedience.
Pashinyan also expressed bewilderment at what has already been said by the premier that the extinct volcano will not wake up if it is not taken care of. "What does he mean when he says an extinct volcano?" He considers the people of the Republic of Armenia to be an extinct volcano? I do not understand what he said," he said.
Touching on the fact that only 17 members of the Armenian parliament voted against Sargsyan, Pashinyan noted that this no longer matters. "It is already obvious that the Republican Party of Armenia and Serzh Sargsyan do not enjoy the people's support, and they have no grounds for staying in power, they should not rule Armenia, and RA citizens should exercise disobedience," the opposition leader said.
He also disagreed with the statement that not many people participate in the protests. He stressed that Sargsyan and the current authorities disgust the Armenian people.
Sargsyan was elected today as the Prime Minister by 77 votes "for" and 17 "against", 94 deputies participated in the voting.
