ArmInfo. Rumors about the possible nomination of the RA Ambassador to the Vatican, the son-in-law of President Serzh Sargsyan Mikael Minasyan to the post of the Prime Minister of Armenia by the Republican Party do not correspond to reality. The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Tigran Balayan stated this at the request of Haykakan Zhamanak daily.
At the same time, he did not say whether the media information on the fact that Minasyan had submitted a statement on his departure from the post of the RA Ambassador in the Vatican is true. "Information on the appointment or completion of the mission of ambassadors is published only after the relevant decree of the president of the country," Balayan said.
It should be noted that the Armenian media reported that Mikael Minasyan intends to leave the post of RA Ambassador to the Vatican, since in April this year the RPA intends to nominate him as prime minister of the country. Nevertheless, RPA representatives insist that the most suitable candidate for the post of Prime Minister is Serzh Sargsyan.
