ArmInfo. "Azerbaijan wants the maximum - Artsakh without Artsakh people, it will never happen. The Artsakh conflict is the result of the struggle for independence, such a struggle can not but have a positive outcome, I am sure," the President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, stated from the rostrum of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Answering the accusations of the member of the Azeri delegation that he - Serzh Sargsyan was the leader of the war in Karabakh, the Armenian president pacified him and urged him not to distort his words: "Firstly, I did not say that I was the leader of the war, I do not fell out of this honor, I only participated in it".
Answering another question from the Azeri delegate about why Sargsyan did not mention the "Khojaly genocide by Armenians" in his speech, the Armenian leader noted that in a short time after these tragic events the former President of Azerbaijan Mutalibov stated in his interview that the massacre in Khojaly was organized by the Azerbaijani opposition for political purposes.
Responding to another accusation of the Azeri delegate about non-compliance by the Armenian side with the resolutions of the UN Security Council, Sargsyan noted that this structure never appealed to the resolution of the Karabakh conflict, in 1993 it adopted 4 resolutions only on observing the ceasefire regime, which Azerbaijan itself refused, and the Armenian side fulfilled.
