The future of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process depends on the will of Russian President Vladimir Putin, says Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia.

 The Embassy of Azerbaijan to the United States has urged the world community to apply sanctions against Armenia.

 Fitch Ratings has affirmed Armenia's Long- term foreign and local currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDRs) at 'BB-'. The Outlooks are Stable.  The issue ratings on Armenia's senior unsecured foreign and local currency bonds have also been affirmed at 'BB-'. The Country Ceiling has been affirmed at 'BB' and the Short-term foreign currency IDR at 'B'.

The political forces, represented at the Armenian National Assembly, made a common announcement concerning the escalation of the situation on the contact line of Karabakh-Azerbaijani armies and on Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

 Joao Soares (MP, Portugal), the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's Special Representative on the South Caucasus, today expressed deep concern over recent deadly violence along the Line of Contact and the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and urged all parties to the conflict to recommit themselves to finding a peaceful resolution.  
"The deteriorating security conditions and the current escalation in and around Nagorno-Karabakh demonstrate once again that the world cannot accept a conflict that remains 'frozen' for more than 20 years. All sides must refrain from acts of violence and provocation, especially against civilians, and urgently recommit themselves to a lasting, diplomatic resolution. The Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan must begin this week in Sochi," Soares said.  

Armenia's parliamentary forces have made a joint statement concerning the growing tensions on the Armenian-Azeri border and the contact line between the Nagorno-Karabakh and Azeri armies.

The officials of Armenia and Azerbaijan have spent the past few days on the frontlines of the Armenian-Azeri border and along the Contact of Line of the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

 Armenian Defense Ministry reports 45 ceasefire breaches by Azerbaijan on 4-5 August.

 The command of the Turkish Armed Forces announced about its support for Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani defense ministry.

Azerbaijan breached the ceasefire on the Karabakh-Azerbaijani Line of Contact nearly 400 times on 4-5 August, the NKR Defense Army press-service told ArmInfo.
