Ameriabank has organized a seminal entitled "trade Finance Tools and International Factoring" for local businessmen, the bank's pres-service told ArmInfo. In the course of
the seminar, experienced advisor for international trade finance Igor Rusin, who was invited from the EBRD, familiarized the participants in the seminar, including Ameriabank trade finance specialists, with the topic of the seminar. Earlier, Rusin was in 9 countries with the same mission, particularly, at 42 banks involved in the EBRD trade finance project.
"I have been cooperating with Ameriabank as part of the EBRD trade finance project as an advisor for a year. I think that the bank's prior task is to explain customers the advantages of the trade finance tools to help them use these tools in practice. I think that we managed to fulfill this big and very important task at the seminar," I. Rusin says.
At the seminar, representatives of Ameriabank Trade Finance Department and I. Rusin introduced the advantages and possibilities of letters of credit, guarantees, reserve letters of credit used in the international trade. In addition, employees of Ameriabank, which is a member of FCI, informed the import- and export-oriented enterprises specializing in the international trade with possibilities of factoring, risk insurance and management of receivables. They highlighted that as the first Armenian bank to receive a confirming status from EBRD Ameriabank can contribute to exporters as part of the trade finance project. This cooperation with other EBRD member-banks will be mutually advantageous.
