The ruling Republican Party will fight for stability and development in Armenia alone as it believes that the Government's program provides all possible solutions to the country's problems, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Galust Sahakyan said on Thursday.
He said that the program is a follow-up on the previous Government's strategy. Its priority is protection of people's freedom, independence, security and welfare.
"In the social-economic sector the priorities are creating competitive business environment, ensuring safety of investments, supporting SMEs, developing partnership between public and private sectors. We are also planning to stimulate economic growth and to raise the minimum wages to at least 60,000 AMD," Sahakyan said.
The voting on the program is scheduled for May 22. The opposition forces of the parliament, Heritage, ARFD, Armenian National Congress, Orinats Yerkir and Prosperous Armenia, are not going to vote.
