On October 10, the Heads of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Member States signed the Agreement on Armenia's Accession to the EAEU.
"Today Armenia is ready to work on equal terms with Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. We hope that within the next 1-2 years we will see a positive macroeconomic growth. This tendency will strengthen after the customs and administrative barriers are lifted. We believe that the GDP and the real household income will increase and the employment will grow", said Russian President Vladimir Putin. To recall, the Armenian Foreign Ministry published the text of the relevant agreement on September 26.
On October 1, Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dosayev said the Eurasian integration's economic potential is very high. The total volume of economy exceeds $2 trillion. The total volume of industrial output in the three countries reaches $1.5 trillion. He said the prospect of the integration effect in terms of the aggregate GDP growth may total about $900 billion by 2030. Dosayev said the treaty provides for sovereign equality of the signatory-countries, reckoning with their national interests.
