On October 27, the Rise Up Armenia movement is going to launch a power overthrow process through civil disobedience, Andreas Ghukasyan, coordinator of the movement, said on October 1.
He said that the Public Salvation Front is to make a decision on creation of an interim government before October 10. Afterwards, before October 24, the opposition forces are to sign a document that demands holding snap parliamentary and presidential elections. "On October 27, a 30-day disobedience campaign will be launched. The government building will be encircled," said the politician.
Ghukasyan thinks there is no tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border or on the line of contact of the Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops. He said the Armenian authorities are trying to draw the public attention away from the domestic problems and to prevent the opposition forces from toppling the ruling regime," he said.
