During a press- conference in Yerevan on Thursday the newly appointed US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick refused to comment on the reports of violation of the rights of Hakop Injighulyan, an Armenian POW in Azerbaijan.
When asked if Injighulyan's case was discussed during his visit to Baku, Warlick said that he had no comments on the matter and that the objective of his visit was to familiarize himself with the Nagorno- Karabakh problem.
Serviceman Hakop Injighulyan got lost and was captured by Azeris on Aug 8. At first the Azeris refused to let ICRC representatives see the POW and kept showing him on their TV dressed in Azeri uniform and refusing to go back to Armenia. But it was not true. Later the Azeris said that Injighulyan wished to go to a third country, but the ICRC did not confirm that information.
