Perhaps, there will be discounts on public transport fares for socially disadvantaged people, Armenia's Labor and Social Affairs Minister Artyom Asatryan told journalists on Thursday.
He said that his Ministry is considering this possibility. "We have almost 100,000 poor families. So, we are calculating how much the budget will need for such discounts," Asatryan said.
On July 20 Yerevan's Municipality raised the public transport fare in the city from 100 AMD to 150 AMD. The decision has caused a wave of protests among the population.
