The rise in the gas price will affect the people's social security, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Armenia Ruben Tovmasyan told journalists on Friday.
He said that this may end in a civil strife, so, the government must to something to calm people down.
"This will raise a new wave of emigration, especially from the regions," Tovmasyan said.
He believes that had Armenia joined the Eurasian Economic Union, there would have been no such rise.
