Leader of Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Gagik Tsarukyan does not rule out that PAP will demand power change. Tsarukyan made such statement at the parliamentary opposition rally in the Liberty Square, Friday on 24 October.
"The country is in very heavy situation. The authorities fail to suggest any solutions to the accumulated problems. Instead, they initiate a Constitutional reform to retain power. This is inadmissible. The people disagree with this," he said. Those present have welcomed these words with outcries. Tsarukyan said he fully realizes the responsibility laid on the parliamentary opposition. "We are ready for any scenarios," he said. PAP leader said they are against bloodshed, and PAP has no enemies in the country. They are against Maidans, but they think inactivity should not become an alternative to Maidan.
"We seek an opportunities for sustainable development, social guarantees for the citizens, 90% of the people big debts and endless loans. Nevertheless, we think it is necessary to increase pressure on the authorities. We are going to set up joint regional headquarters of the people's movement. Every can contribute to this movement. We must break the political monopoly of those in power," Tsarukyan said.
He said if the authorities fail to listen to the demands of the opposition and the people, they will demand a power change.
"We need to consolidate. United protest can stop the most odious decisions of the authorities. No one can frighten us. I am determined to fight till the very end," Tsarukyan said. -m-
