The ruling regime's decision on constitutional reforms is strange. The group of people, which have repeatedly rigged elections and have usurped the power, is imposing its reforms on the society, Stepan Demirchyan, Leader of the People's Party of Armenia, said at today's rally of the opposition forces (Heritage, Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia Party).
"The country has neither public demand nor objective need for constitutional reforms. The reason of the current hard situation of the country is not the flaws in the Constitution. The reforms are worthless and senseless if a group of people is constantly usurping the power", said Demirchyan.
He is convinced that Armenia needs real changes - power should be separated from business and the economy should be recovered. In the meantime, it is naive to expect the incumbent authorities to solve these problems, he said.
