Ecotomato" company's third greenhouse was opened with the financial support from VTB Bank (Armenia). The new facility is designed for the cultivation of Dutch roses. The Bank's press-office has informed ArmInfo that the 3 ha greenhouse has been opened with the purpose of extending the territory of the greenhouse facility. The first two facilities were built in 2011 and 2012. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, other top-level officials, the VTB Bank administration, as well as reps of the Armenian business-community were present at the opening ceremony.
"VTB bank is quite experienced in funding greenhouse facilities. "Ecotomato" company leads the Armenian market of rose-cultivation. The company has a number of privileges and keeps introducing high techs into the agriculture. Our cooperation with this company will be long-lasting. I believe the company will continue expanding its activities", said General Director-Chairman of Directorate of VTB Bank (Armenia) Yuri Gusev.
In his turn, director of "Ecotomato" Arsen Sandoyan has added that his company has been working in the Armenian greenhousing market for several years. "Year by year we are expanding our production. The opening of the third facility will give us the chance to boost our production several-fold. This is particularly due to the long-lasting cooperation with VTB Bank (Armenia)", he said. The third facility is designed for the cultivation of 24 kinds of Dutch roses. 70-80% of the production is exported to Russia, Belarus, Georgia; only 20% is sold in Armenia.
"Ecotomato" CJSC (Goght community) was established in May 2011. In December 2011 the company put into commission 2 ha rose-greenhouse facility. The investment project cost 1.9 bln AMD. Having invested 2.87 bln AMD the company extended the greenhouse are to 3 ha by the end of 2012.
