Tbilisi. Georgian Premier, Bidzina Ivanishvili, met with
President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE),
Jean-Claude Mignon, as part of his first visit to Strasbourg, on April 22 - Georgian
Premier's press office reported on Monday.
Ivanishvili left for Strasbourg on Sunday,
April 21, to attend PACE spring session, which has opened on April 22 and will
last till April 27.
"At the meeting the sides touched
upon Georgia's commitments before the Council of Europe. Georgian Premier
stressed that Georgia attached great importance to continuation of the
institutional dialogue with CE and expected active cooperation with that
organization," the report reads.
Georgian Foreign Minister, Maia Panjikidze;
Justice Minister, Tea Tsulukiani; Chairman of the Georgian Parliament's Foreign
Affairs Committee, Tedo Japaridze; Executive Secretary of the Georgian Dream-
Democratic Georgia, acting Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council
of Europe, Irakli Giviashvili, also attended the meeting.
