The European Union intends to continue making reforms in Armenia, it is very much important to EU, Lithuania's Ambassador to Armenia, Erikas Petrikas, told journalists today.
He did not agree to the opinion that the Vilnius summit gave nothing to Armenia. "Look at the general declaration which consists of 54 points, at the joint statement made by Edward Nalbandian and Catherine Ashton, in which all the arrangements made for several last years were fixed. So, it is simply wrong to say that nothing was reached", - the diplomat said.
"I do not share the view that Armenia achieved nothing during 3.5-4 years of talks with the European Union," he said, adding that official position is that the reforms, especially those based on European values, will continue.
Erikas Petrikas believes there is life after Vilnius summit of Eastern Partnership, and everything will continue in Riga. He said that Lithuanian FM as a chairperson of EU is trying to help Ukraine find the way out from the current situation.
