The action of protest that started in front of the Government building today morning has moved to Yerevan's Municipality, where the city's elders are discussing the recent rise in the public transport fare.
ArmInfo's correspondent reports from the scene that the protesters have prepared a gift for Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan - a strawberry and banana cake in the form of a 50 AMD coin (for exactly as much the fare was raised).
The Municipality's employees refused to accept the gift but the protesters assured them that the cake was very tasty and they took it.
For many days already people in Yerevan have been protesting against the municipal authorities' decision to raise the public transport fare from 100 AMD to 150 AMD. Groups of activists are urging people to continue paying 100 AMD. Some car owners are carrying people free of charge.
