Armenia has yet to go the road of integration Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia have already gone and has to undertake all the ensuing obligations, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said on Thursday, while opening a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Minsk.
"On the one hand, we see Armenia wishing to join the Customs Union, on the other, we see Ukraine seeking association with the European Union. So, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan have to consider constructive mechanisms of cooperation with both those wishing to join the Customs Union and those refusing to do it," Lukashenko said.
He welcomed the countries wishing to join the Customs Union and advised Ukraine not to reject this possibility even though it is moving towards Europe.
