If Russia's arms sale deal with Azerbaijan is just business, Armenia's Association Agreement with the European Union is also business, Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said in an interview to Armnews.
"When you hear somebody saying that the Russian arms deliveries to Azerbaijan are an effort to maintain the military balance in the region and are just business, you want to reply that Armenia’s Association Agreement with the EU is also business. But in arms deliveries, unlike association agreements, you can always find political implications. Considering the geo-political challenges we are faced with, our authorities are searching for ways to access foreign, particularly, European markets," Kocharyan said.
