Ameriabank has been granted the third Euromoney Award for Excellence – this time as the best bank in Armenia in 2014.
The press service of the bank reports that the awarding ceremony took place in London on July 10.
The awards are granted to banks, brokers and dealers based on analysis carried out by Euromoney experts in over 100 countries. The Awards for Excellence are given in 20 banking- and capital market-related categories.
Ameribank was granted the award for stable leadership, efficient management, innovative approach, use of the best international experience and advanced technologies, large-scale projects to finance SMEs and renewables and strong partner ties with international financial organizations and banks, particularly, the BERD, the OeEB, the IFC, the FMO, the DEG, the EDB, the ADB and Proparco.
The Euromoney experts also considered the bank's innovative approach in providing the following services: international factoring, particularly, membership in the Factors Chain International and access to partners and markets in over 80 countries; Ameria deposit; Fast and Simple loan for SMEs, flexible personal loans; Visa internet acquiring; vPOS/virtual POS for Visa, MasterCard and ArCa; Ameria Partner status and Visa Infinite card for privileged consumers; Ameriabank-Ucom co-branded card with a credit line for purchase of domestic appliances.

According to ArmInfo's Rating of Banks of Armenia, as of Jan 1 2014 Ameriabank's assets made up 315bln AMD (1st rank among Armenia's banks) or 28.6% growth as compared with Jan 1 2013, loans made up 173.6bln AMD (4th rank, 13.5% growth), corporate loans made up 139.8bln AMD (1st rank, 19.5% growth), net profit made up 6.2bln AMD (3rd rank, 24.4% growth).
