A group of Yerevan State University students gathered in front of the OSCE Yerevan Office on Wednesday to express their protest against the last incident on the Armenian-Azeri border.
They are indignant at the OSCE's inadequate response to Azeri border provocations and are puzzled that in its documents on Nagorno-Karabakh the world community shows equal attitude to the behavior of the conflicting parties.
"We are ready to protect our homeland and to give an adequate response to the enemy if need be," the students said.
On October 22 the Azeris fired at the cars on the Paravakar section of the Berd-Ijevan road in Tavush region, Armenia. The press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reports that persons in both civilian and military cars suffered. Conscript soldier Gagik Poghosyan (born in 1994) died. Conscript soldiers Artur Andranikyan (born in 1994), Araik Zhamharyan (born in 1994) and Martin Petrosyan (born in 1994) were injured. The Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk was informed of the incident. The Armenian Defense Ministry says that this criminal step of the enemy will not remain unpunished and expresses its deep condolence to the relatives of Gagik Poghosyan.
