ArmInfo/Turan. Representatives of the civil societies of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet in Strasbourg on 28-29 November, to search for ways to resolve the Karabakh conflict.
"The event is initiated by the Helsinki Citizens' Assembly, with the support of the Council of Europe," said Arzu Abdullayeva, Head of the NC HCA.
By eight people from Azerbaijan and Armenia will participate in the meeting, including experts, politicians, journalists, teachers and historians. Each delegation will include representatives from Armenian and Azerbaijani communities of Nagorno-Karabakh, she said.
This format is informally called the "Parallel Minsk Group", which seeks to involve the public in the discussion and search for ways to resolve the conflict. The discussions will result in a document with recommendations to the two governments, the world community, and the OSCE Minsk Group, Abdullayeva said.
She also noted that the participants of the upcoming discussions have already met before at various events in the Aland Islands, Tbilisi and other places.
