The investigation department of Armenia's
National Security Service has filed a lawsuit linked with financial misconduct
at "ArmenTel", a source from the press-service of the National
Security Service told Arminfo correspondent. He also added that the lawsuit was
filed long ago, but declined to specify the date and other details of the case.
To note, according to the information of mass media,
the lawsuit was filed against the former head of "ArmenTel", Igor
Klimko, who is charged for theft of about 14 billion AMD ($35 million).
In this context, press-service of "ArmenTel"
said to Arminfo correspondent: "Despite the position occupied in the
company, the company applies to the relevant instances, if a man is an
abuser. Further development of the case
is within cognizance of these instances".
To note, according to mass media, Klimko has been in
the wanted list since February of the current year. There is a detained person
within the frames of the case. He is a former employee of ArmenTel. At present, this detained person is in
abroad and the problem of his
extradition is being discussed.
Igor Klimko has headed ArmenTel since 2009. However,
at the beginning of 2013 he left the position, though his labor contract did
not expire.
