Russia has not banned import of lace lingerie, Fedor Bulygin, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulations and Metrology (Rosstandard) told ArmInfo.
Russian media outlets have disseminated news that lace lingerie does not meet the technology standards adopted in the Customs Union. This news flooded also the Armenian media ahead of the country's accession to the CU.
Bulygin said that the CU technical regulations can ban import of goods for security, environmental and other important reasons. "I don't think that the given type of products can violate any standards. I have not even heard such news. So, it is difficult for me to comment. Probably, it was a factoid," he said.
