The
Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) does not consider the issue of joining the
ruling coalition, Tigran Urikhanyan, Armenian parliamentarian, Spokesman for
the PAP, has told ArmInfo.
Urikhanyan says that the PAP's agenda has no such an
item. "As regards the meeting between Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan
and PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan a couple of days ago, I can say that Tsarukyan
raised the same issues as during the previous political consultations and that
the Party's stand has undergone no changes", he says. Urikhanyan also points out that the PAP
comes out against constitutional reforms, because it is the economic reforms
that really matter today.
"Armenia has no constitutional crisis, but the
economic crisis is obvious in Armenia. Tsarukyan raised the problems that cause
the concern of the public and need to be resolved immediately, particularly,
problems related to the mandatory component of the accumulative pension system,
use of radars on the roads, reduction of fine amounts, bank lending, etc., i.e.
the problems that have increased the social tension in the country", says
Urikhanyan in his statement.
