Commodity turnover between the CIS countries fell 9% in the 6 months of 2014 as compared to the same period of 2013 to 111 billion dollars. One of the reasons was the change of the trade priorities of some CIS countries, President of Russia Vladimir Putin said at the CIS Summit in Minsk, according to interfax.by.
"The commodity turnover for 6 months of the past year amounted to 123 billion dollars with the trade volumes for the entire year totaling 235 billion dollars," he said. "These figures also result from the unfavorable foreign market conditions and other factors, such as change of economic priorities of some Commonwealth countries," the Russian leader said.
