World Chess Team Championship in Antalya, Turkey, started for Armenia with a draw with Russia on all four boards in Round 1 match, Tuesday. Each team got one point at the start of a round-robin tournament, according to the tournament's official website at: wctc2013.tsf.org.tr.
In the other Round 1 pairings Ukraine, China, Azerbaijan and Germany ended their matches in victories against the United States, the Netherlands, Turkey and Egypt, respectively (all matches ending 2.5-1.5).
In Round 2 to be played on Wednesday Armenia's rival is Egypt.
The tournament is due to finish on December 6.
