Even if the public transport fare in Yerevan is reduced to 120 AMD, we will continue our protests, Ruzanna Gevorgyan, an activist of the Let's Pay 100 AMD movement, told ArmInfo on Wednesday.
"What we want is not only to reduce the fare but to improve the quality of the service, this implying a raise in the wages of bus and microbus drivers," Gevorgyan said.
As far as ArmInfo knows, the municipal authorities met on Tuesday evening to discuss the reduction. Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan and his young advisors regret that they have raised the fare to 150 AMD and wish to review their decision, but more "experienced" counselors believe that this will make the Mayor's image even worse.
