A group of veterans of the Karabakh war continue a sit-down strike in Liberty Square.
Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Khachik Avetisyan went on a hunger strike five days ago to show his moral support for his comrades who have been trying to draw the Government's attention for already two months.
On July 17 Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with them but said that the Government had no money for providing Karaabkh war veterans with houses, free medical care and other benefits. He just promised to meet again.
The action started in May 2013 by Reserve Colonel Volodya Avetisyan, who urged the Government to pay attention to the hard social conditions of those who once liberated Nagorno-Karabakh.
The veterans are going to sit in the square until their demands are satisfied.
