The
Armenia-Diaspora conference has kicked off in Yerevan. The total of 300
prominent figures in the field of arts, politicians, businessmen, public
figures and experts from 60 countries of the world take part in the conference.

 

As Armenia's Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said at
the opening of the conference, consolidation of Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora
will increase influence of the Armenian factor both in the region and in the
world. He also added that Armenia has become a country favorable for doing
business in.

 

<We should gain social and economic growth, maximal
investments in the economy of the country as well as creation of as much secure
climate for business as possible. We have been conducting an open investment
policy, which makes it possible to develop economy with high rates", - the
premier said.

 

He also added that businessmen from Diaspora and the
Armenian government have got an open partner relations, which can fuel
development of Armenia and Karabakh.

 

We should not forget about the unsettled Karabakh
conflict.  Azerbaijan has been
conducting a militaristic policy and unleashing the arms race fed by the oil
dollars. Turkey goes on blockading Armenia. 
Moreover, hard relations between Russia and Georgia force Armenia
conduct more flexible policy, he said.

 

He also added that recognition of the Armenian
genocide by the world community is inevitable. It still remains priority for
the government of Armenia.

 

<We will go on demanding historical justice. The
denial of the Armenian genocide by Turkey means the possibility of its
happening again. But we should not let it", - Abrahamyan said.

 

Freedom, security and welfare of citizens are
priorities for the government of Armenia, the premier concluded.
