There will be no true customs point between Armenia and Nagornyy Karabakh after Armenia's joining Eurasian Economic Union, director of the Caucasus Institute, political expert. Aleksandr Iskandaryan, said at today's press-conference.
At present there is a customs checkpoint between Yerevan and Stepanakert, but it is formal. The expert is confident that Nagornyy Karabakh conflict has become the main reason of Armenia's integration in the Eurasian Economic Union, and Armenia made such a step stemming from the security problems.
'Armenia has been always joining all the international structures within its borders, as formally, Armenia and Karabakh are two different states and there is nothing new in it", - he said.
He thinks that the signing of the treaty on Armenia's joining EEU, on 10 October in Minsk has become the end of one stage and the beginning of another one. "It is the beginning of cooperation of Armenia with Russia in the new format", - he concluded.
