She said that one can judge about development of the given field by the intensive growth in the customer base of the company and the customers' increasing demand for HR specialists' high-quality services, as well as by the growth in the number of the Association's members. "There were 20 of us two years ago, but now the Armenian HR Association has over 40 members. The number of people really interested in the given field and wishing to develop their professional skills is dynamically rising", said Karapetyan. She added that HR services are already very popular among small and medium-sized enterprises, and this is proved by the fact that the number of these customers has considerably risen since 2008.
Karapetyan pointed out that for the moment the demand for HR services is mostly focused on the financial, banking and telecommunication spheres. HR management has recently developed in mining and light industries as well.
To note, the 2nd regional conference on the activities and problems of HR managers was held in Aghveran, Armenia, on Nov 22-23.
Organized by the Armenian HR Association and Cascade Consultants, the conference was attended by HR specialists from Armenia, Georgia and some other countries.
