The situation in the Karabakh conflict zone is fully controlled by the Armenian Armed Forces and the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said on Jan 22.
According to RFE/RL Armenian Service (Radio Azatutyun), Ohanyan stressed that the situation on the Armenian-Azeri border remains tense. He added that all the actions of Azerbaijan receive an adequate response from Armenia.
Ohanyan thinks that the tension in the Karabakh conflict zone is unlikely to develop into full- scale military operations. "After all, Baku should realize that the military way to resolve the conflict is wrong. On the contrary, the Azeri authorities should create an atmosphere of confidence to continue the peace talks", Ohanyan stressed.
To note, since the beginning of 2015, Armenia has suffered 9 losses as a result of the sabotage attacks mounted by Azerbaijan.
