Official Ankara has prepared a road map on establishment of peace in the South Caucasus, particularly, on normalization of relations with Yerevan, Sabah newspaper writes referring to its diplomatic sources.
The paper writes that following the visit of Turkish Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to the USA and the discussions between Prime Minister Recep Erdogan and the presidents of Russia and USA, Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama, official Ankara prepared a road map on establishment of peace in the South Caucasus, which implies transfer of two regions under control of the Armenian parties to Azerbaijan in exchange for normalization of Ankara-Yerevan relations.
In particular, Sabah writes that official Yerevan has already promised to give two regions, but Ankara demanded Armenia to make an official statement on the issue. If Armenia makes such statement, Davutoglu will visit Yerevan to attend the BSEC meeting on 12 December. Diplomatic sources highlight that unlike rapidly developing Azerbaijan, Armenia is not in a good state. To change the situation, a way out of the status quo is needed, the paper writes.
According to Sabah, the Armenian troops will leave 2 of the 7 liberated territories around Nagorno Karabakh at the first stage. In exchange for that, Armenia's relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey will be normalized.
Commenting on the given information to ArmInfo, Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Spokesperson of the Republican Party of Armenia, Eduard Sharmazanov called it a fruit of the Turkish diplomacy's imagination. He called it not serious and deserving no detailed comments.
