The Armenian police have detained two activists of "We Won't Pay 150 AMD" initiative near the Municipality of Yerevan.
ArmInfo's correspondent reports from the scene that the detainees are David Harutyunyan and Gevorg Safaryan. The deputy head of the Yerevan Police, Valery Osipyan, says that the activists have been detained for disturbing the public peace.
In the meantime, "We Won't Pay 150 AMD" initiative presented its schedule on Tuesday. In particular, the members of the initiative are going to meet with drivers near the Yeritasardakan metro station, Municipality of Yerevan, bus stops of Yerevan, as well as in Mashtots Park.
To note, on July 20 the public transport fare rose from 100 AMD to 150 AMD for buses and microbuses. Trolleybus fare is 100 AMD instead of 50 AMD, and the metro fare remains unchanged (100 AMD).
