A number of Armenian NGOs in Georgia have asked the Georgian Parliament to recognize the Armenian Genocide, but the Parliament has refused to do it, reports Caucasus Online.
One of the leaders of the parliamentary majority Levan Bardzenishvili said that Armenia has no ground for blaming Georgia.
"When the events took place, the Georgians acted as a worthy neighbor should: they provided shelter to Armenians and expressed their attitude to what had happened. It would be politically unfair to claim more. Political recognition of the Armenian Genocide by Georgia is impossible," the Georgian MP said.
