Tbilisi. Intermediate Mountain Training Summer Course
(IMTSC), underway at Sachkhere (Western
Georgia) Mountain Training School as part of the NATO Partnership for Peace
Program (PfP), has entered its active phase - Georgian Ministry of Defence
reported on Thursday, September 12.
The Czech, Armenian and Hungarian military
servicemen are participating in the training course alongside the Georgian
instructors.
According to the Georgian MoD, the 4-week
training comprises 4 phases. At the first stage, the attendees improved the
skills adopted during the Basic Mountain Training Summer Course to get ready to
move across the glacier. The second stage involves crossing the glacier in Kazbegi
region and was dedicated to hiking across the 4100m altitude. At the final
stage, the participants will practice shooting at Abuli (Samtskhe- Javakheti
region) firing ground.
At the end of the course, Georgian and
Foreign military servicemen will take final tests.
The IMTSC was launched on September 2 and
is due to finish on September 27, at Sachkhere Mountaining Training School.
