The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) was to gather at the meeting of the RPA Council to discuss the latest statement by Gagik Tsarukyan, Leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, and make an official response to it, like RPA does after speeches of all the major actors in the political field of Armenia. However, this time it proved senseless. This is how President Serzh Sargsyan started his speech at the RPA Council.  

According to the president, there is no sense to discuss either Tsarukyan's speech or whether he understands what he speaks about. "His party-men spare no efforts to explain him what is what. Others write their own agenda into Tsarukyan's speech being sure that he will understand nothing of what he will be reading. Tsarukyan's supporters constantly ask themselves if he understands what he does. We do not know even what to do with him: whether we should explain him what role he has undertaken, or say him openly 'you have no sufficient brain to do it, friend. The political field is not the federation of armwrestling, one must have other qualities here," the president said. 
Further in his speech, the president called for removing the 'feudal logic,' infantilism and ignorance from the political field. "It is time to bring certainty into the political field and settle the accumulated problems.  And we will start doing it already today!" Sargsyan said.

"A man having enough mechanisms to participate in the political processes but having low intellectual abilities automatically torpedoes any progress," the president said. Calling Tsarukyan "the evil" of the country, Sargsyan said that competent people in the surroundings of the PAP leader realize how dangerous such people can be for a country on the verge of war.  

"Can you imagine a situation when Tsarukyan speaks from the CoE tribune and Turkish or Azeri parliamentarians address him questions? I shudder even to think of it. We could hardly overcome those shameful situations after Tsarukyan's foreign visits and the stories of our foreign colleagues. We cannot 
turn our Motherland into a circus," Sagrsyan said.
The president accepts his part of responsibility for the given situation, as he had been banning his party- men to respond to Tsrukyan's statements publicly for many years. "I personally banned Tsarukyan's nickname 'Dodi Gago' ('dull Gago' - editor's note) the people gave to him," the president said adding that he personally tried to explain Tsarukyan his mistakes for the domestic political stability. Sometime it was possible, but in some situations it was very hard to explain everything that primitively to make him understand. However, I did not notice that I have damaged the political field by the only existence of such a 'phenomenon' (Tsarukyan - editor's note) there, " the president said.  Serzh Sargsyan said he is sure that many of his party-men may accuse him of 'patronage of such a pseudo-politician.'
"I was a mistake that must be corrected promptly and properly. We have no right to delay with this any longer," the president said.
